

Tan Hin Tat (Director / Resident Manager)
Hin Tat is Director / Resident Manager of Padang Trust as well as the senior partner of Hin Tat Augustine & Partners (Advocates & Solicitors), Singapore. His experience spans almost 30 years of legal work from being a litigator to advising his clients on all forms of trust, corporate and banking work. Hin Tat’s clients include senior business executives, major banking and financial institutions, listed companies and all types of professional organizations. He has extensive experience in setting up and managing a professional organization with a total of about 70 lawyers and support staff. Hin Tat, who graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1980 with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) Degree, was a member of the Board of Governors of Temasek Polytechnic and also sat on the Board of Permasteelisa Pacific Holdings Ltd, a company formerly listed on the Singapore Exchange.
Evelyn Tan (Director / Resident Manager)
Prior to joining Padang Trust, Evelyn was Executive Director of Boardroom Ltd and Managing Director of the Corporate Services Division of Pricewaterhouse Coopers for about 24 years. Evelyn graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) Degree. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Singapore. She is also an Associate Member of the Singapore Institute of Directors. Evelyn has been involved in accounting, compliance, custodian, audit, consulting and corporate governance matters for private & public listed companies, including trust companies.
Augustine Soh (Director - Compliance)
Augustine is a practicing lawyer and a senior partner in the firm of Hin Tat Augustine & Partners. He is a long time appointee of the office of Commissioner of Oaths and Notary Public. Augustine is a legal advisor of a charitable organization and is active in volunteer work.
Muriel Beckman (Associate Director - Operations / Resident Manager)
Muriel was a Director of an independent trust company in Singapore before joining Padang Trust. She had also worked in a foreign law firm specializing in trust and estate planning. For almost 7 years, she was in-house legal counsel and company secretary of a major property development company. Muriel holds a Master of Laws Degree from New York University and is qualified to practise as an Advocate and Solicitor in Singapore. She is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Eileen Yee (Associate Director - Operations)
Eileen has almost a decade’s worth of experience working in the area of trust structuring and administration. Prior to working in the private wealth management industry, she worked as a lawyer in the tax and trusts department of a leading S’pore law firm, and as in-house counsel of a S’pore port operations company. She subsequently worked in the trust departments of 2 top-tier private banks. Her professional qualifications are being a non-practising Advocate & Solicitor (S’pore), Barrister-at-Law (Middle Temple, UK) and full member (TEP) of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners.
Serena Goh (Associate Director - Business Development )
Serena has corporate experience in advising companies on listing in Singapore and compliance work in a major multi-national company. Having taken a break for about 4 years to set up and manage a business, she has also developed a keen sense of business acumen. In addition to tackling a wide range of corporate / commercial legal issues, she has dealt with trust matters including reviewing family trusts, advising clients on the setting up of private offshore trusts, “living trusts” and wills. She graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) Degree. Serena is a member of Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and has given several talks on the subject of trusts to various financial planning institutions.
